 The Pond Boxes
For certain nature lovers there are few experiences that captivate the soul quite llike exploring a pond.
In this series of boxes, the water, complete with algae swirls and lily pads, is mimicked in the colorful panels of mottled stain glass. Each box interior is unique. Some include a special keepsake that will rekindle a moment of magic. Others incorporate inlays, sliding trays and small compartments taking their design from the wildlife of the wetlands. No two are alike. The collection consists of 25 boxes. Sizes range from 3" square to 14" x 10".
Woods used in this series: Elm, spalted Maple, White Oak, Red Oak, spalted Beech, Black Cherry, Black Locust, Black Walnut, White Ash and Butternut.
Lakeshore Drive
The Great Lakes shoreline towns often have a scenic road called
Lakeshore Drive. One of my favorites is in
Dunkirk, New York where I spent my childhood summers.
The collection commemorates both sides of these beautiful passways, the shoreline and the bordering woods and fields.
This is an ongoing series of small and medium sized boxes.
